Ultimate “Outre” Hair Battle ­ Sun Taiyang Exhibited Hair Style Competition

This report is about the Ultimate “Outre” Hair Battle, presented by Sun Taiyang Co., located in Carlstadt, New Jersey. Celebrating the 30th Anniversary, Sun Taiyang hosted a fantastic hair competition and exhibition in the Dallas Convention Center.

Filled with thousands of visitors

People waited for the opening of the event with enthusiasm, gathering in a long line at the main entrance. Around 9,000 people came to the show, outnumbering the 7,000 seats prepared to accommodate spectators. Thousands had to watch the show while standing, but most people still decided to stay through the entire presentation.

Assorted hairstyles from graceful to punk

Spectators were eager to watch competitors showcase their fabulous, authentic hairstyles, which ranged from graceful looks to more punk styles. Well-known stylists came from various areas of Texas and other Midwest-Southern states to participate, and competitors, after choosing from one of the four available style categories, demonstrated their masterpieces.

On-site dance contest and Fantasia’s special performance

Headed by Cool C, a renowned MC, the show entertained spectators with special events. People enjoyed an on-site dance contest and lucky lottery winners received prizes. Fantasia, an American Idol star, performed on-stage.

Tam-Picasso Hair Salon won the grand prize

All of the contestants presented masterpieces and every contestant deserved a prize, but Tam-Picasso Hair Salon in Little Rock, Arkansas was chosen as the happy winner of the grand prize. Other prizes were also given to the winners in each category.

The retailers, who came to celebrate the 30th Anniversary, were greeted in a separate room where Outre products were displayed. Director Lee from Sun Taiyang, who was in charge of the whole event, said, “We’d like to ask for your attention to our ambitious plan beginning from 2007. Today’s performance was meant to be a symbolic event to show the new Sun Taiyang.”
